o end our week-long celebrations we held a special service at Broad Cove United Church. The joint choir was made up of members from the four choirs on the Charge as well as the Men's Fellowship Group. The Sunday School participated and an 80th Anniversary banner designed by women from the charge was unveiled and dedicated. The service was well attended with close to 200 people in attendance. The collection taken for this service went to support M & S.
This week was a blessing to all who attended the services and we were sad to see it end. Besides the special blessings the charge received, we were also very proud to have raised over $500.00 for M & S.
The theme for the 80th Anniversary Celebrations of the United Church of Canada was Dare To Be and we thank God that we had the opportunity to not only share in these celebrations but to also show our gratitude to the Lord. Gratitude that we are blessed enough to share with others and gratitude for our United Church of Canada.
